In 2012, amidst the throes of a recession, I found myself at a crossroads, both as a designer and as a homeowner. With a family of four and a faithful canine companion, the need for more space was palpable. In a bold move, I decided to embark on a journey of expansion, not just for practicality but as an expression of my design ethos.

The resulting transformation of our home was nothing short of a revelation – a modern marvel nestled within our quaint, settled neighborhood. While the architectural departure from tradition raised a few eyebrows, it also sparked curiosity and admiration among our neighbors.

It was during one of my daughter's birthday celebrations that serendipity intervened. A fellow parent, captivated by the design of our home, approached me with an intriguing proposition. Engaged in renovating his mid-century house, he sought my expertise in crafting an addition that would seamlessly blend with the existing structure. Thus began the journey of the "Old Farm Lane Project," a testament to the transformative power of visionary design.

My path to architectural innovation was shaped by a nomadic trajectory, spanning continents and cultures. Originating from Argentina, where my passion for architecture first took root, I honed my skills in Israel before ultimately settling in the United States nearly three decades ago. The transition was akin to learning a new language, as I adapted to the nuances of American design and construction practices.

With a diverse portfolio encompassing government, commercial, educational, and institutional projects, my immersion in the healthcare corporate design sector provided invaluable insights. Yet, the allure of forging a more personal connection with clients and charting my own creative course beckoned.

Thus, RT Studio was born, a collaborative venture with my partner Gadi, infused with a spirit of innovation and a commitment to redefining residential design. Embracing the modern aesthetic, I set out to carve a niche in a landscape dominated by convention. Through dedication and vision, RT Studio distinguished itself from its peers, heralding a new era of contemporary residential design in our locale.

The journey was not without its challenges, but with each project, we reaffirmed our dedication to excellence and sustainability. Soon, our efforts garnered attention, and RT Studio found itself gracing the pages of esteemed publications, including a feature in the Real Estate Section of the Washington Post.

Since those humble beginnings, RT Studio has flourished, leaving an indelible mark on the architectural landscape. From bespoke renovations to awe-inspiring additions and the meticulous crafting of interior spaces in mid-century and modern homes, our portfolio reflects a journey of innovation, collaboration, and enduring passion for design.
